4 Ext. A Burning Building - Past 4
An apartment building is ablaze on the horizon. Rubble falls from the walls as the building slowly collapses. A young boy is silhouetted by the light of the fire. An upright piano is in the wreckage of the building; shrieking as the strings snap from the heat. The boy stands there alone, unnoticed by the adults rushing to and from the building.
